In the late 1950s, I found myself drawn to the vibrant streets of New Orleans. The city's rich cultural tapestry was a revelation to me. The jazz-filled air, the Mardi Gras colors, and the eclectic blend of French, African, and Spanish influences all left an indelible mark on my sense of style.
It was in the French Quarter that I discovered the beauty of mixing patterns and colors. The locals taught me the art of layering and how to effortlessly blend formal and informal elements. This newfound love for diverse styles laid the foundation for the fashion journey I was about to embark upon.
